Not Sorry Apparel is seeking multi-talented interns to join our team!

All applicants should be living in the Metro Detroit area and have reliable transportation to and from our Corktown studio.

Internships are unpaid and will run May 15-August 15, 2019. There is potential for the position to turn into a paid, part-time gig.

FASHION DESIGN & PRODUCTION INTERN

Preferred Qualifications
-Pursuing degree in Fashion design or related field
-Experience using industrial sewing machines (straight stitch, coverstitch, serger)
-Experience working with knitwear
-Prior experience drafting patterns
-Prior experience grading patterns
-Must be able to commute to Detroit
-Must be able/willing to attend weekend events
-Strong communication skills a plus
-Attention to detail

Roles & Responsibilities 
-Develop and implement strategy to utilize scrap fabric
-Partner with intern team to build brand around new line
-Work on general ad-hoc design needs
-Help out with general production schedule
-Work with intern team to analyze production process of a garment and identify efficiencies


Commitment
-2-4 days a week
-Schedule will be flexible
-11 week internship

 

MARKETING & PR INTERN

Preferred Qualifications
-Pursuing degree in marketing/PR/professional writing or related field
-Strong writing credentials (Writing samples may be requested)
-Experience working with media
-Must be able to commute to Detroit
-Must be able/willing to attend weekend events
-Strong communication skills are required

Roles & Responsibilities

-Build marketing/PR plan for brand
-Connect with media outlets to execute PR plan
-Work with team to develop and execute influencer marketing strategy
-Assist marketing team with promotional photoshoots, videoshoots and other content creation


Commitment
-2-4 days a week
-Schedule will be flexible
-11 week internship

 

INVENTORY & OPERATIONS INTERN

Preferred Qualifications
-Pursuing degree in Supply Chain or related business degree
-Process focused
-Process and production management skills
-Familiarity with lean manufacturing and inventory/production methods
-Ability to analyze, discover solutions, and propose new ideas/systems to management
-Organized
-Must be able to commute to Detroit
-Must be able/willing to attend weekend events
-Strong communication skills a plus
-Attention to detail

Roles & Responsibilities
 
-Processing & managing inventory & donations
-Propose new uses for scraps

-Analyze supply chain for improvements in org process
-Increase prediction/planning methods to better manage inventory
-Decrease cost of acquiring inventory -Decrease stale inventory and develop system to become more lean
-Refine system to increase accuracy of inventory management

-11 week internship
